November 5th, 2008I’m so very elated over the fact that Barack Obama was able to successfully and legally win the presidency of the United States of America. But let’s get it straight, we have a lot of work to do. It’s not over. We have to do all that we can on local and individual levels to help change our world. Phase II of the criticism and attacks have already begun. Here’s video of fellow Democrat Ralph Nader calling Barack Obama an “Uncle Tom” and a “Toby” (from the movie Roots) on the night of his big win. There could have been bitterness because of his lost, but at any rate, even John McCain was respectful in his defeat.

October 25th, 2008I found about this little gem from Huffingtonpost.com (I love that website, by the way). Remember that Budweiser commercial with the guys saying “Wassssssuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppp”? If I remember correctly, I think it came around during one of the Superbowls. Well, there is a commercial / short film inspired by that commercial that shows support for Barack Obama. Huffington Post credits Chopshop @ Believe Media for the video. Great job guys! I get it, and it’s a great, great commercial. Keep it up!

The Economy is Fundamentally Sound??????
September 16th, 2008Barack Obama has been pointing how McCain has been very misleading in his assertions that the economy is fundamentally sound. Just to support his stance look at these numbers since the Republicans have been in office (beginning Inauguration Day 2001):
- The unemployment rate has increased from 4.2% to 6.1%
- The budget as gone from a $281 Billion surplus to a $357 Billion deficit
- The debt has grown from %5.7 Trillion to $9.7 Trillion
- Everyone knows how the price of gas has increased!

September 15th, 2008I get absolutely annoyed and angry when people are so ignorant. I usually try to look past this kind of stupidity if there is evidence that the person may not know any better, but in this case, I think these guys are more than smart enough to understand what they are doing. Even worse, I think the purpose is to try and continue spreading the rumors and lies that abound. They have offended not only me, but many other people and are unapologetic about it. They are actually trying to justify it. This is just plain disrespectful.
