Can you feel me coming? It’s like a tiny twitch in your spine that causes a shiver, but allows you to still keep it moving as you proceed thru your day.
Can you taste it? It’s like the anticipation of the… … the touch and taste of another’s lips that you’ve been longing to kiss.. ..just before they actually touch!!
Can you hear me coming? It’s like a deafening silence in the night while you are contemplating how you are going to handle the next pitch that life throws at you while you stand at homeplate swinging for a homerun and praying not to strike out!!
Can you smell me? It’s like the stench of the Africans killed during the Middle Passage mixed with the millions killed in the Holocaust combined with the rotten strange fruit that hung from the southern trees coupled with the aromatic remains of those who died in the “demolition” of the trade centers and who die daily in the sands of foreign lands for a “war on terrorism”
Can you see me coming? It’s like a head of white wool with fiery eyes and fine brass feet!! The swords will be on my tongue so that I may speak sharply about these worldly situations since my depature long ago!!
