I can’t lie to you. I once was hooked on the absolutely terrible show “Flavor of Love”. You would think it stopped there, but I followed the Flav girls over to Charm School. Please don’t ask because even I sometimes wonder what the heck I was thinking. As this blog continues to head down hill, Saaphyri (in the pic above) was the ultimate winner of the VH1 series. It looks like she’s an entrepreneur now and she’s selling “Lip Chap”. I feel like it’s my civic duty to start calling out people in my community when you do something absolutely unnecessary. Apparently her demographic is the folk in the hood - strippers, hookers and johns. Sorry Monique, I guess all your efforts didn’t work. My people have to realize that you can’t make any real money like this. What’s classy and timeless about this vid below? What time slot will air this commercial (other than BET uncut….well for that matter, BET will probably be the only network showing this… you know the world looks to Bobby Johnson’s programming for moral advice from the African American Community). Well then again, as I think about it, that channel that shows the girls gone wild and the phone sex operator commercials may be trying to get in while the getting is good.

Black people, I want you all to know that it’s possible to make a crap load of money without exploiting yourself or anyone else. I guess what they say is right, You can take a person out the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the person. Look at this vid… and Hell Nah I don’t want no damn lip chap. Just sad.
