Traveling Again…

September 10th, 2007

Hey everybody it looks like I’ll be traveling again soon and I’ll try to do the whole travel blog thing again.  I received a lot of responses when I did it the last time.  Jazz at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Department of State is sending AFAR to South America around late October and we’ll be gone for about a month.

As of today we’re scheduled to visit Ecuador, Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia and Brazil.  It should be a really great tour!  Keep checking the site for updates!!

What Did She Just Say??

September 10th, 2007

Whenever you’re asked a question about geography, just talk about how stupid they are in Iraq and South Africa. My geography skills aren’t quite up to par, but thanks to Miss Teen South Carolina I now know how to handle myself. To all my people educated in Georgia public schools, where the SAT scores are among the lowest in the nation, there is hope for you too.

What really kills me is that this question had absolutely nothing to do with anything other than America. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!

Where Did We Go Wrong??

September 5th, 2007

Okay, so you decide to make a satirical video encouraging people to uh, read a book. Does your satire have to still be degrading to make its point clear? I tell you what, look at these two videos and tell me which one you think is more effective:

Video #1 (Thanks Shawna!)

Video #2

Race Relations, War and Politics…

September 1st, 2007

I found out about this video from a really great site – “Playahata.com”. This video provides commentary on Rush Limbaugh’s advice to a woman that calls in to his radio show. Please watch this video as Rush tries to explain why The U.S. won’t bother to help Darfur and the commentators explain the criteria for which war can be established. This video is very informative.

People, we really have to ban together to defeat those mentalities that continuously hold our country back and continue to divide Americans along racial lines. Racist attitudes from any race should not be tolerated in any way. Everyone should be viewed as equal and afforded the same rights.
