Caribbean Fun Day in Atlanta…

A lot of people aren’t aware of it, but there is an extremely large community of people from the Caribbean here in Atlanta. Over the Memorial Day weekend they host a ton of annual events and I went to one of the Saturday events called “Caribbean Fun Day”. This year was my first year participating in the festivities and I actually missed most of the stuff (the parade) because I had a long night the day before. At any rate, I took a few pics. They’re not the best, but hey, it was like 99 degrees outside and we were in the parking lot of Hi Fi Buys Amphitheatre:

and with that said do not focus on the fact that I said Hi Fi Buys Amphitheatre, but pay more attention to the “parking lot” and “99 degrees”. IT WAS HOT AS __________ (fill in your favorite expletive here). Here are the pics, for what they’re worth. Don’t expect me to be creative while sweating buckets in a parking lot with no where to sit down.
This first pic is just a random crowd shot

It was so sweltering hot out that I even had to put some shade on the pictures so you wouldn’t get burned looking at them. See, I care about my readers!!

There was a lot of vendor booths and food places around as well:

And you know, if there were any smoothies around, I would find it:

Some people in costumes dancing (and no, that is not a stripper costume)

Lastly, a random crowd pic. What would a random crowd pic be without somebody starring (randomly) at the camera:

I really did enjoy myself out there. It was just HOT!!!!!!!

The women in the costumes were more than likely in the parade. They just didn’t get out of the outfit after it was over. I only know because I wore one of those outfits in a parade I participated in in Trinidad. There actually lots of fun. lol.
