So uh, my public service announcement today is for Blacks or African Americans (whichever you identify with) to just get over slavery. I am channeling this message to you from one of the race’s great allies Delegate Frank D. Hargrove of Virginia. Mr. Hargrove, being the great profound man that he is, stood proudly before his colleagues and said that the civil war ended slavery over 140 years ago and that black citizens should just get over it. It seems that he has gotten a bit perturbed from all of this slavery nonsense.
The comment was sparked as legislators were proposing to offer an official apology on behalf of the state for its role in slavery. Hargrove asked “are we going to force the Jews to apologize for killing Christ?†All of Hargrove’s comments were hastily denounced by his colleagues, to which he replied, “I don’t careâ€.
So thanks Frank, this is all we needed to repair over 400 years of mistreatment at the hands of animalistic whites, that for some incomprehensible reason felt the need to steal other humans and force them to work on land that they amassed only through guerilla like thievery. Thanks for showing us the fast track to being “officially woven into the fabric of America†and for showing us how to quickly gain access to the American dream. We had a Dream… but we see it’s pointless. We love ya Frank!!
I’ts crazy how I’m STILL amazed by ignorance. Quite Frankly (pun intended), they’d be getting off easy with just an apology. I want to see million, no, billion dollar efforts at revitalization, ensuring economic stability/independence, and improving education in inner cities (where most of us dwell) and even rural areas. That’s what I’d call raparation!
